This unit originally created to formulate the training policy and strategic training needs of the government and private agencies. It deals directly with screening of work permits to make sure all applicants meets the legal criteria and will be a genuine employee while residing in the country during their employment contract in reference with Labour Work Permit Act Cap 187. The unit has expanded its scope of responsibility to create employment and protect workers. The Unit has also provided service in the area of statistical data for general population and work collaboratively with the counterparts to creating capacity for the nation.
